Mortal Engines is a 2018 science fiction film based on the novel of the same name by Philip Reeve. The film was produced by Peter Jackson and directed by Christian Rivers. It tells the story of a futuristic world where massive cities have been mounted on wheels and hunt smaller cities to absorb their resources.



Story:
The film is set in a post-apocalyptic future where cities have been transformed into giant machines, roaming the Earth and consuming smaller towns for survival. London, a powerful and predatory city, hunts down weaker settlements to strengthen itself. In this perilous world, a brave young woman named Hester Shaw seeks revenge against Thaddeus Valentine, one of the most influential figures in London.



Main Characters:
Hester Shaw (played by Hera Hilmar) is the determined and courageous protagonist. Tom Natsworthy (played by Robert Sheehan) is a young engineer who unexpectedly embarks on an adventure with Hester. Thaddeus Valentine (played by Hugo Weaving) is the film’s primary antagonist, a power-hungry man driven by ambition and control.
